Tristan Titeux's Eco Furniture Choices
Tristan Titeux introduces “Milo” from his new “re-cut” series.

“Milo” from the “re-cut” series is made of waste wood offcuts from the production of our modern fitted furniture and also from old fitted furniture taken out of people’s homes that are no longer wanted.

We turn them into beautiful modern furniture and extend the materials life and divert it from the landfill.

Here is the video about it:

“Milo” contemporary Eco coffee or bedside table.

The outer edge is sanded completelly smooth and oiled with an oil made by Auro which is totally natural and contains no synthetic materials at all, which means it is less processed, doesn’t rely on petro chemicals, and uses natural renewable incredients, the future is here already! It just needs all the encouragement it can get.

Yes that is me, looking proud. The ends of this particular “Milo” is oak veneer, but as each piece is unique, you don’t know what the next one will look like, apart from the dimentions will be the same. We will photograph each one and you can choose which one you want to buy.

If you would like to buy one, please scroll down for the contact details.

Unfortunatelly this one isn’t for sale because it is the first “Milo” and I am just in love with it, so it will stay in my hands, but register your interest and I will send you the pictures of the new pieces we are currently making once they are ready.

Look at the beautiful uneven bit in the plywood, it is perfectly flat on the outside, but the surface hides some interesting character that is only apparent once cut through, it reminds me of the geological layers in the earth, these geological layers are eco’ed in the rest of the table.

The wounds of the wood from previous use have been left untouched.

I love the contrast between rough and smooth, we have left the inside rough so you can see more of it’s origin, and also they complement each other and reinforce each others beauty. The rough looks rougher next to the smooth and the smooth looks smoother next to the rough.

It is nice to see and appreciate the different colours, patterns and textures of all the different boards. Each has a story to tell, comes form a different tree, from a different place, has been cut by a different person or machine, been through a different factory, been mixed with various glues and chemicals… My aim is to promote the use of totally natural materials that can be composted or burned to produce heat directly in your home at the end of their life.

Waste wood that we have taken out of people’s homes and are re-cutting to make the pieces in the “re-cut” series by Tristan Titeux.
